A New Year Update..

It's been about a month since I've updated so I figured I better post something.  Me and Jason are currently in the process of choosing a puppy. Jason has wanted one for months now and we are finally narrowing down our choices. Tomorrow we are going to look at a Chinese Shar-Pei named Cinnamon. She is 4-5 months old now and has recently had eye surgery to remove some of the skin over her eye lids. We saw her online 4-6 weeks ago, but they wouldn't adopt her out because of the surgery, so we will see tomorrow what we think of her.

The past couple of weeks we've also had some visitors. Sarah Y. came down last Friday to spend the night since she had a baby shower the next day. Jason was working so we had a girls night with dinner at Charleston's and a movie at home. It was so nice to catch up as we don't get to see each other too often.  Amanda F. then drove up on Saturday to do some shopping. She brought sweet Olivia with her and I had to take some pics of her with my new camera.

We had an interesting day of shopping, dinner at Victoria's Pasta Shop in Norman and then Olivia decided that she needed to really go to the bathroom which caused us to strip her down in the back of the car and wipe her down before heading back to my house to wash everything and give her a bath. It was quite the experience and Amanda was quick to ask me if I still wanted kids after that. It didn't scare me, but was definitely something I wouldn't want to experience very often. We ended the evening watching Julie & Julia at the house.

Yesterday, Jason and I both had the day off together so we drove to Duncan to check out some other puppies, had lunch with Amanda and Olivia again and then came back to meet Andy and Allison for dinner and a movie. True Grit was very good and I'd definitely recommend everyone to go see it. We had dinner at Panchinko Parlor off 9th and Broadway and it was delicious! If you haven't been there yet, you need to go. They have the best sangria in town, if you take my mom's out of the equation, and there sushi rolls are very unique. Everything I've had from the Crab Rangoon and Odelay! roll to the Spring Roll appetizer and Asian Inspired Gazpacho soup, it's all been fabulous!  They also have happy hour from 4-6pm everyday so if you aren't currently a sushi fan, then take a chance during happy hour. I promise you won't be disappointed. http://www.sushiokc.com
