Spring is in the air

April has been a busy month for the Young Newlyweds.  It started out with us receiving our new bedroom suite that we absolutely love. We now have to jump up to get into bed, which is a little funny, but I love having matching furniture and a bed back in our guest bedroom.  It's all ready for Andrea's visit next week. She's flying in to run the OKC Marathon with her family and I'm excited to hang out again so soon.

April 8-10 we drove to Tulsa to celebrate Lindsey's birthday, Sarah's wedding, Andrea's visit to OK and a nice time catching up with friends. We stayed with Sarah and Grant and loved spending time with them as we helped each other find and pick up each other's new bedroom furniture. Mathis in OKC didn't have the night stands that jason and I wanted so we picked them up in Tulsa while we were there. Just so happened Sarah and Grant found a great deal on the bed they had been looking at so they borrowed our truck while we went to the wedding so they could pick it up. It worked out great and was a fun weekend. Sarah looked beautiful and her wedding was totally "Sarah."  We finally met Stephen who seems like the perfect fit, though we didn't really say much other than "hello."  Here are a few pics from their special day!

Haha...trying to be stoic.

This past week was busy with the Aluminum Show at the Civic Center on Tuesday night, stuffing Easter eggs at church for our egg hunt on Sunday, attending Julie's Stella and Dot jewelry party where I bought a cute bracelet and earrings, and Stillwater on Saturday with Amanda.  I just absolutely love Stillwater! It's really a great town and has grown so much since I lived there. Somedays I wish we lived there where we could attend all the OSU festivities, where Orange every day, eat at the Original Hideaway, occasionally visit Joe's just so we can get the free cups and have my friends within a few blocks. Of course, you didn't think I'd want to live there without all of you all, right?!? I'm so glad I married a fellow Poke. I don't know if it would have worked out if I had to hear Boomer Sooner 50 times a day and fight about who is going to win the Bedlam game every year. I already have to do that with my family, so I sure don't want to do that with my husband.

Jason has been working hard and playing harder. He's been enjoying playing golf in the warmer weather and planted our new plants in the flower bed while I was at the jewelry party. He's much better at that than I am. He's had his eye on some new golf clubs, but hasn't pulled the trigger yet on purchasing them.

This week we get to celebrate Jesus' death and resurrection. I'm so thankful that Jesus cared enough about us and obeying his Father to die so that we can live eternally. It's definitely the best gift we can ever be given. Take some time to think about that and rejoice that He's no longer lying in a grave but HE HAS RISEN!
